Will this whole home-energy setup actually work together?
Check the parts that can clash: electrical and DNO limits, the exact inverter and heating controls, export limiting, smart tariffs and any other system trying to control the same battery or heat pump.
Why the exact heat-pump model matters
Homely's current list contains model-family and system-layout restrictions that disappear in brand-level marketing. Daikin and Mitsubishi need specific Modbus hardware; LG requires supported Gen 3/4 units with SIEMENS Modbus; Ebac, Daikin, Grant, LG, Mitsubishi and Trianco are single-zone only in the current Homely compatibility data.
Dual-zone support also depends on the model and controller
Homely currently identifies Airwell, Clivet, Ideal, Midea, Nordis, Riello, Samsung and Worcester Bosch among brands that can support its dual-zone feature, but the supported model and the actual system design still have to line up.
A compatible tariff does not mean a compatible controller
EDF Heat Pump Tracker and British Gas Heat Power are deliberately broad on heat-pump make/model. A tariff can therefore be valid even where Homely cannot control the heat pump. Conversely, a Homely-compatible heat pump still needs Smart+ for automatic time-of-use tariff optimisation.
