Find a replacement from the specs you actually know.
Enter as much of the existing motor nameplate as you have. BecSpec compares candidates from current Brazilian, UK, South Korean, California-approved US and specialist US mining source records, rules out known electrical mismatches, and shows when frame, mounting or geometry still needs to be confirmed before you can rely on the fit.

Find a replacement for a legacy SEW motor
Enter the exact old SEW model. For supported DV identities, BecSpec follows SEW's published successor evidence to the current DRN family and surfaces rated-speed and fit differences rather than assuming the same kW, poles or frame proves a drop-in replacement.

What actually decides whether a motor is a replacement?
Start with the electrical job
Rated power is only one part of the match. Record the supply voltage and frequency, phase, poles or rated speed, and the duty the motor is expected to perform. A 7.5 kW four-pole motor can still be the wrong candidate if its voltage, frequency or operating assumptions differ from the motor you are replacing.
Then prove the mechanical fit
Frame, mounting arrangement, shaft dimensions and geometry decide whether a motor can physically replace another one. BecSpec shows those fields when the source provides them and leaves them unresolved when it does not. A missing dimension is a check to perform, not permission to assume the candidate fits.
Use the source list as evidence, not as a world catalogue
The current finder combines distinct source populations from Brazil, the UK, South Korea and the US, including California-approved electric motors and a separate MSHA mining/permissible population. They do not expose identical fields and none should be read as a complete catalogue of every motor sold in that country. Compare candidates within the evidence that source actually supplies.
